PAUR: Ways We Serve

A little more

Rotary International channels our commitment to service at home and abroad through five Avenues of Service, which are the foundation of club activity.

  • Club Service focuses on making clubs strong. A thriving club is anchored by strong relationships and an active membership development plan.

  • Community Service encourages every Rotarian to find ways to improve the quality of life for people in their communities and to serve the public interest.

  • International Service exemplifies our global reach in promoting peace and understanding. We support this service avenue by sponsoring or volunteering on international projects, seeking partners abroad, and more.

  • Vocational Service calls on every Rotarian to work with integrity and contribute their expertise to the problems and needs of society.

Of these, the first focuses on our club’s internal community, while the others are geared toward external service. To support these external-facing avenues of service, PAUR has developed several signature initiatives—ongoing programs carried by committees of dedicated members. These initiatives embody our club’s enduring commitment to service and meaningful community impact.

By addressing local needs, our signature work in Community Service brings members together to make a lasting difference. Over time, some of these initiatives have grown and evolved into recognized PAUR Committees of their own.

Through active committees and strong community partnerships, our Club continues a proud legacy of service—locally and globally. The Ways We Serve include improving literacy through BooksPlus, advancing sustainability with Environmental Impact, and fostering dialogue through Civil Discourse. Each effort reflects our long-standing commitment to building a better world. These initiatives are not only how we serve, but also how members participate meaningfully—contributing time, talent, and heart. From youth empowerment and healthcare access to vocational support and international outreach, there is a way for every member to make a lasting difference. Click on each image to learn more...
